Brent A. Bernard, CISSP
Co-Founder, Chief Executive Officer (CEO) 

As CEO, Brent’s responsibility is to position Praetorian Secure as worldwide leader in delivering superior IT security and regulatory services to commercial, industrial and government entities.  He coordinates external initiatives at the highest level, creating new and innovative opportunities for growth. His commitment to clients, employees and community is built upon effective planning and communication by promoting a team atmosphere and establishing goals. With a combination of time spent in the US Marine Corps and in private sector, Brent has held program and project management positions at General Dynamics, Electronic Data Systems (EDS), and the Department of the Army as a DIACAP Engineer for the US Army TACOM Agent of the Certifying Authority (ACA). Brent has been awarded numerous military awards, including two Combat Action Ribbons for his service in Fallujah, Iraq during Operation Iraqi Freedom. In addition to being a subject matter expert with industry security audits and assessments, Brent is also a Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP), Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA), Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and a member of (ISC)2, ISSA, ISACA and InfraGard. He currently resides in Burton, Michigan with his wife and three children.

Michael G. Ross, CISSP
Co-Founder, Chief Operating Officer (COO)
 
As Chief Operating Officer, Michael oversees business operations, project management and team performance to ensure customer satisfaction is achieved.  As the lead security expert, Michael helps commercial and government clients enhance their IT Security programs, design and implement secure infrastructures, and certifies regulatory compliance to protect customer information (PII, HIPAA). Michael also maintains a constant focus on trends in IT Risk and Threat Management.  With more than 20 years of experience, Michael was an Agent of the Certification Authority (ACA) for the Department of the Army where he led security audits to determine compliance with the Department of Defense (DoD) Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation standards (DIACAP).  Michael has also worked for Electronic Data Systems (EDS), General Dynamics, Clark County School District (CISD), Scientific Applications International Corporation (SAIC), and Dell-Perot Government Systems.  Michael holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Central Michigan University, holds certifications including Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) and Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).  Mike belongs to such organizations as (ISC)2, ISSA, ISACA, and resides in Davison, Michigan with his wife and two children.

Mark Sherwood
Executive Vice President
 
As Executive Vice President, Business Development, Mark directs and oversees strategic sales, partnering, and marketing initiatives. In the commercial and government markets, his primary role is to ensure the organization grows by developing information technology and security strategies to attract new customers, and strengthen current client relationships. This includes prospecting, SOQ & RFP execution, forecasting, marketing, contract negotiation and project management. With over 20 years of sales and marketing experience, Mark has been involved with proposals up to $100 million, business planning, staffing and prepared GSA schedule programs. In addition, he has executed corporate standards related to brand management, public relations, advertising, direct marketing, presentations, literature, web media and charitable involvement.  Mark has worked for The Stellar Group as a Director of Marketing and Business Development, and suppliers to the waste/water and automotive industries as a mechanical designer and statistical quality engineer.  Mark holds a Bachelor of Applied Arts degree in Industrial Engineering & Technology from Central Michigan University, is a LEED Accredited Professional, a member of ISSA, InfraGard and resides in Jacksonville, Florida with his wife and daughter.

Chuck Pearce
Chief Financial Officer (CFO)
  

As CFO of Praetorian Secure, Chuck is responsible for all financial operations of the company, including accounting, tax, reporting, financing, treasury, benefits and human resources. Chuck has more than 26 years of business and management experience across several industries, including restaurant management, advertising, home building and technology. Before his current role with Praetorian Secure, Chuck served as Executive Chef for several Michigan based restaurants, and designed, wrote, implemented and managed a management training program for a local restaurant chain. Chuck then worked for Y&R Detroit and PulteGroup, Inc. in the accounting departments of each organization, gaining valuable insight, experience, and responsibilities in each position. Chuck earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Oakland University. Chuck also earned an associates degree in Culinary Arts from Oakland Community College. He currently resides in Burton, Michigan with his wife and three children .
