At Praetorian Secure, we understand the process required by many federal and state regulators and are familiar with the challenges facing organizations in preparing and planning activities for Certification & Accreditation (C&A).  Given the complexity of preparing a C&A package, Praetorian Secure utilizes a phased approach required to achieve a positive Initial Authority To Operate (IATO) or Interim Authority To Operate (IATO).

  • Pre-certification Phase – Establish boundary and business risk identification

  • Initiation Phase - Preparation, evaluation and categorizing of CT&E, artifacts, system and/or product(s) for C&A consideration

  • Certification Phase - gathering and evidence of security control assessment and certification documentation

  • Accreditation Phase - validation of system and/or product(s) accuracy to regulation, audit for IATO/ATO

  • Continuous Monitoring - ongoing maintenance, configuration planning & management

The completion of each successive phase depends upon the output of the preceding phase. Praetorian Secure integrates with clients to lead, manage, and deliver a complete and verifiable C&A Package. To manage the C&A Program effectively and efficiently, individual tasks, responsibilities, and expectations are defined with expected results by Praetorian Secure.
