Without proper planning, testing, and maintenance, no organization can properly present a true defense or true security to its enterprise network. When designing a network, Praetorian Secure’s skilled engineers will introduce and implement security solutions based on fundamental ideas and practices that are consistent with industry standards. This will also include understanding existing in place architecture, reviewing scope definition for new or upgrade designs, allocating security measures where needed, preparing a preliminary security concept of operation and test on example network designs. Praetorian Secure uses the following processes during every network design assignment:

  • Integrity - security measures must be preservative, not corrupt or lose data and protect confidentiality and sensitivity of data

  • Availability – while security measures are in-place, systems and data must be available at all times

  • Adequate Protection – protection must correspond to the network, systems and equipment value

  • Control Effectiveness - implemented controls must be effective and efficient in securing the network and its component parts to the size and type of organization

  • Depth Protection - assume an intruder will attempt to use any available means of penetration and consider most obvious means to extraordinary line of attack

  • Due Diligence - ensure network security is an ongoing, evolving process requiring continuous monitoring and improvement

In addition to network design tactics focused on the exchange of digital information, Praetorian Secure provides set of security mechanisms that includes physical and administrative security to ensure the entire architecture environment is considered. This includes creating and defining the overall systems strengths and weaknesses, and understanding interdependency from concept through testing.
